Dance party tours, doing its part for flood relief

It was initially just one dance party in Melbourne, being hosted to raise money for the Queensland flood relief fund, but due to overwhelming response to the Melbourne danceAID+ benefit the event is now being rolled out nationally with dates being secured in Perth, Adelaide, Byron Bay, the Gold Coast and Darwin.

DJs chipping in their mixing skills for nix include Ruby Rose, TV Rock, Zoe Badwi, Tommy Trash, The Potbelleez, Malente, the Stafford Brothers, Nervo, James Curd, Hook’n’Sling, and Grant Smillie.

Says Smillie, director for event organiser 360 Agency, “We quickly realised that what we were creating in Melbourne could be replicated in other states so we started reaching out to partners, venues, and other DJs.”

There is also a danceAID+ compilation available exclusively through iTunes next week.

danceAID+ is being held at Metropolis in Fremantle on Friday 14th January, the Prince of Wales in Melbourne Wednesday 19th, La La Land in Byron Bay Thursday 20th, Red Square in Adelaide Friday 21st, and Discovery in Darwin Sunday 23rd. For full details visit www.360agency.com.au/danceaid
