Sabbaba daba-doo

You might be familiar with the name Sabbaba, a restaurant that’s been serving the residents of Bondi for 11 years now. Good news is that one of Sydney’s better eateries for Middle Eastern fare has opened shop in Newtown. Foodies, musos, arty types, the media, and local Newtown folk were treated to generous servings of dishes including baked pita breads stuffed with babaganoush and nutty tahini, and the yummiest pesto falafels with dollops of sour cream. Bang Gang DJ Jamie Doom played for the crowd, while graffiti artist Mr Perso created a live installation, and everybody seemingly had a jolly multicultural time.

Sabbaba is situated 148 King Street, Newtown and is fully licensed, open 7 days a week from 7am.
