Timeless timepiece

When you think of quality watches, the name Cartier springs to mind quickly, and the jewellery and accessory house’s latest model, the Calibre 1904 MC, only highlights the quality connotations. It is the luxury brand’s first model aimed solely at men, though this didn’t stop many of the lovely lasses at its launch at the Blue Hotel in Sydney recently trying one on. Apart from the already produced in-house manual winding and quartz calibres, Cartier now has a new star in its movement line-up, and at 42mm and slimmer than recent iterations of the Santos, Tank and Rotonde models, the Calibre 1904 proves that bigger is not necessarily more masculine. It is available in steel, pink gold, or a combination of the two, with three dial variants on offer: black, white or chocolate brown.
