No one does Japanese like Nobu… soon to open in Perth

Madonna once said, “You can tell how much fun a city is going to be if Nobu has a restaurant in it”, and she could well be right. Things are bustling in Perth right now, with great establishments cropping up left, right and centre, so it’s fit that the infamous restaurant brand is setting up shop in the WA capital - which currently boasts healthier spending on dining in comparison to its eastern board counterparts.

With a reputation for divine cuisine and exceptional service, chef proprietor Nobu Matsuhisa will ensure his Perth restaurant, housed in the Burswood Casino complex, will maintain all that is positive about the brand under the guidance of head chef Nicolas Mazier (direct from Nobu Miami).

Nobu’s philosophy of combining classical training and knowledge of international cuisines to create modern Japanese masterpieces has already impressed New York’s celebrity set and is sure to please the Aussie palate. Nobu Perth, located on the site of the former Swan Room and overlooking the city, river, pools and tropical gardens, promises diners a theatrical Teppanyaki experience. Signature dishes will include yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno, tiraditio Nobu-style, and black cod with miso.

An exclusive VIP, invitation only Sake Ceremony will be held in September to celebrate the opening and it’s hotly tipped that Nobu’s famous partner, actor Robert De Niro, will be flying southwest for the occasion. Hooyah!

Nobu Perth opens in September.
