Typically noiresque, the new fragrance from Lady Gaga, aptly called ‘Fame’ was launched in the US on September 1st and shot to number one on the best selling fragrance list after week one.

The perfume will be released in Australian on September 16 with an exclusive launch at Myer, followed by its David Jones launch on October 7.

To promote the fragrance, Gaga asked Alien director, Ridley Scott, to create a very black advertisement in which scantily clad men are swarming the singer’s naked body.

In other scenes, the artist is dressed in a black jumpsuit, and in short it’s all very Bladerunner meets Alien.

The perfume itself has been dubbed “the first ever black eau de parfum”, built on three main accords: dark, sensual and light.
