College radio station launches with lots of local flavour

Boom Radio, the station housed at Central Institute of Technology, officially launched last Friday, revealing a new logo, new location (from Northbridge to Leederville) and news of a Diploma Course in Broadcasting for Radio to begin in 2013.

Boom Radio announcers kept busy on the day greeting guests who included musos and media, as an army of local artists took to the stage including Lights Of Berlin, Reilly Craig (pictured above), Georgia Reed, Paper Planes and Sublight.

Snags sizzled on the barbie, drinks flowed aplenty, and plenty of prizes were handed out, with the main aim of the day – the delivery of constantly great music – well executed. Tune in to this and more at www.boomradio.com.au.
