Pharrell at Future!

As if the lineup at Future Music Festival wasn’t exciting enough already: bursting at the seams with brilliant acts across from music genres across the board. Now, joining Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kaskade, Deadmau5, Cut Copy, Knife Party, Phoenix, 2Chainz and Rudimental, will be superstar producer-come-brill-artist-himself Pharrell Williams!

Pharrell will be a headline addition in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Alas, da man won’t be playing Future Music in Perth or Brisbane but he will be putting on sideshows in both these cities. That means fans get to see him, and just him, being his all-round-coolest-black-dude-on-the-planet. Actually, we’re guessing he might just pull some special guests up on stage with him, but we all know no-one is as ‘special’ and all-round talented as the dude himself.

Pharrell has got a big couple of months coming up. This Sunday he’s being nominated for an incredible seven Grammy Awards, and he’s also up for an Oscar on March 2 (for Best Original Song) at the 86th Academy Awards. Okay, so that nomination is for an animated film (‘Despicable Me 2’) but it’s still a pretty cool track.

Expect to hear the very cool parts of Pharrell’s discography when he hits Aussie stages.
