New sexed-up Kylie video met with mixed reaction

It’s not the first time we’ve seen sex sell a pop song. In fact it’s been going on since Elvis swivelled his hips and made the girls swoon way back when.

But it seems sexy music clips are still causing a fuss – even in this day and age of endless porn made available online. Cue Kylie Minogue and the release of her new video ‘Sexercize’ which has been described in the record company’s press release as “the hottest workout video ever”.

Well… View it yourself and we’re pretty sure you’ll agree that even Olivia Newton-John’s ‘Physical’ had more going on it than this rather diluted affair.

Anyway, reactions from punters online have been very mixed, with some saying Kylie is looking great, can still pull off the sexy thing, and yada-yada-yada… and others saying that the song and clip are as bad as anything from Miley Cyrus. You be the judge (view here), and yes, that does look like product placement – logo and all – by Wolford undergarments.

Now, as if one sexed-up video wasn’t enough for you, Kylie has commissioned a whole army of people to provide their visual interpretation of the song, and from today you can check out various takes of it on Contributing ‘artists’ include Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Roman Coppola, even commercial brands such as Maserati and Le Specs.

So, let the “major commercial sell-out” bitching begin…
