Fresh New Pop-Up Degustation Experience at Milkd Café

You’ve heard of pop-up fashion boutiques, pop-up art galleries, and of course pop-up bars, but what about pop-up dining?

Fresh Perth conglomerate, Alphabet Soup, are introducing the pop-up experience to Perth’s culinary crowd, popping up in various locations throughout the city, and operating during said venues’ otherwise non-operating hours.

Kickstarted by Meliss Palinkas and Susan Whelan, who together share 20 years’ experience in food and hospitality, Alphabet Soup promise flavour bomb food for connoisseurs of fine dining.

Currently the pop-up dining experience has taken over Milkd Café in Subiaco, where every Wednesday evening for a month, one very special ingredient is focused on and incorporated into a six-course degustation menu.

The key ingredient this month is beetroot, with the menu boasting such delectable dishes as Tacos with Beetroot, Jalapeno, Remoulade and Baby Squid; Lamb Belly with Beetroot and Garlic Yoghurt; and a dessert of Dark Chocolate and Beetroot Cake.

Three words, then: Yum, yum, yum.

The pop-up night-time dining experience is a first for Milkd Cafés, which are renowned for their excellent coffees, teas, cakes and clean and easy breakfasts and lunches.

Seats are limited, so get in quick.
