THE NEW RETRO-MODERN

WIN! Copies of music doco ‘Pulp: A Film About Life, Death & Supermarkets’

Pulp 01

If there was one band that perfectly depicted the gender-bending, shoe-gazing Nineties, it was Pulp. Fronted by tall, lean, bespectacled Jarvis Cocker, the band found fame on the world stage with anthems including ‘Common People’ and ‘Disco 2000’. A quarter of a century on, and the band return to Sheffield for their last ever UK concert. A lot of it is caught on this documentary-slash-live-music video but brilliantly interspersed with interviews with the band who share their thoughts on fame, love, mortality… and car maintenance.

By turns funny, moving, and even life-affirming, ‘Pulp: A Film About Life, Death & Supermarkets’ is not your ordinary rockumentary.  Michael Mastess
