Graphics enthusiasts rejoice!

The fifth Graphic festival will take place in and around the Sydney Opera House from September 28 to October 11 – celebrating everything from comic books to poster art, graphic design in advertising to special effects in cinema.
Featuring exclusive commissions, including world and Australian premieres, this year’s festival also presents free film screenings and talks from some of the most exciting storytellers in print, pixel and pop art.
Says Graphic co-curator Jordan Verzar, “Graphic is a festival unlike any other [grown] from a love of comics, animation, music, narrative, illustration and a desire to showcase the world’s leading practitioners of these arts. I love the fact that we are able to give artists the ability to do what they do best, create art, and it’s the end results of these acts of creation which become our festival.”
Headliners for Graphic 2015 include Academy Award-winning writer-director George Miller, cult director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Comic Book Men), Australian comic book artist Nicola Scott, Icelandic pianist-composer Ólafur Arnalds, and local musician Sarah Blasko who will debut her new album accompanied by visuals from award-winning filmmaker Mike Daly.
Expect the unexpected when all manner of media begin to merge at Graphic 2015. Antonino Tati
