New sci-fi flick has a ‘Life’ of its own
2017 sees the return of the science-fiction blockbuster with the release of Sony Picture’s latest thrill ride, Life. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds, both riding high from their recent outings in Nocturnal Animals and Deadpool respectively, Life is out to scare audiences right down to their core.
Don’t believe us? Check out the latest trailer (above) and see for yourself – that’s if you can keep your eyes open for the whole thing.
In a nutshell (or capsule!), the film sees astronauts (Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, and Reynolds) aboard the International Space Station, on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. So, yep, things get real spooky.
Dare we say it but this is a film that looks to have something for everyone. If popcorn movies aren’t your thing, don’t fear, as Life, driven by its indie creative team, promises to bring something fresh and exciting to the proceedings. And for those who love a good old-fashioned adventure, Life looks to have you sorted and then some.
Something-out-there might be out to get us, but that won’t stop us from getting out to see this movie. Chris Prindiville
‘Life’ will be released across Australia on March 22.
