George Michael Freedom @2x

Last year, the world lost pop icon George Michael, but thanks to the magic of television, he is not forgotten.

The (English) Channel 4 documentary, George Michael: Freedom, produced by filmmaker and close friend, David Austin, promises to take audiences inside the late star’s private world.

Filmed before his untimely passing, the documentary is narrated by the singer, who was heavily involved in the making of the film that serves as his final work. The film also features incredible, unseen archival and private home-footage, providing viewers with a first-person account of this dramatic period in his life.

Audiences will also get to hear from some of the star’s most famous friends and fellow music legends, including Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Ricky Gervais, Nile Rodgers, Mark Ronson, Tracey Emin, Liam Gallagher, Mary J. Blige, Jean- Paul Gaultier, James Corden and Tony Bennett.

The man may be gone but the legend lives on.  Chris Prindiville
