Kanye West goes on TMZ drug rant… possibly while on drugs

In yet another off-the-cuff rant, Kanye West has let loose in the newsroom of TMZ when he began waffling on about being hooked on opioids.

During an impromptu appearance on TMZ Live, West went off on everything from slavery to drug addiction (see a segment of the latter in the video, above).

Simply asked what it was like the day he met Donald Trump (then President-elect) in 2016, West went into strange defence mode.

“I was drugged the fuck out bro, I was drugged out,” he said of his encounter at Trump Tower. Two days [before] – I was addicted to opioids – two days after I was addicted to opioids, two days I got off of opioids. I’m [imitates motor engine] Errrrrrrrr. I’m in the hospital, right?”

Then West turned to TMZ employees in the newsroom as if they were to take his quotes and turn them into prose. Right. Away.

“Hey, everybody listen to this please! Two days before I was in the hospital, I was on opioids, I was addicted to opioids. I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for y’all. I had liposuction because I didn’t want y’all to call me fat like you called Rob [Kardashian] at the wedding and made him fly home before me and Kim got married. I thought y’all would call me fat so I got liposuction, right? And they gave me opioids, right? And I started taking two of ’em and driving to work, on the opioids. Then my boy, I’d always ask my boy, you know we on tour to give me some weed. So, he had to go get me the opioids. And there was talk amongst my camp like, ‘Ye’s popping pills’. And when he handed them to me he said, ‘You know, this is used to kill genius, right?’ So, I stopped taking them.”

While Kanye’s rant proved not only redundant and that he loves to say the word ‘opioids’, his bottom line did carry weight, ending his fuzzy PR speech with the message: “We are drugged out. We are following other people’s opinions. We are controlled by the media. And today it all changes.”

One thing is for certain: I won’t be having what he’s having…  Antonino Tati
